Most residential shade sails we install cost $4,000 to $8,000 per sail, fully installed. Where your project lands depends on the size of the sail, how many posts it needs, post height and your site. There isn’t one. “Sun sail” and “shade sail” are two names for the same thing: a tensioned fabric canopy, usually a triangle or rectangle, anchored to posts or building points to shade an outdoor space. We use the terms interchangeably, and you’ll see both used.
Most projects take about 4 weeks from your first call to a finished install. That includes your consultation, design and measurements, ordering your custom materials, and installation.
Shade sail installation isn’t a state-licensed trade in Texas, so no company can technically be “licensed” for it. What we can tell you is that Pathstone Co is fully insured on every job, and we back our work with a 15-year warranty on the shade fabric and a 1-year warranty on the steel posts.
